Arlene D. Hackbarth, Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, has more than 30 years of experience in the field of behavioral and emotional health working with children, youth and families. Originally from New Jersey, Arlene moved to Maryland while completing her BA and MS in Psychology from Loyola University. As a certified clinician, she has helped countless children and families through counseling and treatment planning.
Arlene has held a variety of management positions in residential agencies for youth, including Unit Director, Risk Manager, and Director of Continuous Quality Improvement where she provided extensive training to staff, parents and teachers on a number of topics including behavioral interventions.
In addition to her work in residential programs, Arlene has a private practice specializing in working with individuals, families, and couples.
Arlene recently served as an appointee of the Governor of Maryland on a task force dealing with the treatment of co-occurring disorders.
