Mr. Dorrill has an extensive background in health care regulatory law and compliance, litigation process, and mediation.
As the former Deputy Director for Community Programs within the Maryland Office of Health Care Quality for the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DHMH), he was directly responsible for the licensure of Assisted Living Homes, Developmental Disability Administration Programs, Alcohol and Drug Abuse as well as Mental Hygiene Administration Programs, and Mortality Review. Prior to serving as the Deputy Director, Mr. Dorrill was the legislative liaison/Director for DHMH and the Executive Director for the Board of Physician Quality Assurance.
Mr. Dorrill is a 1975 graduate from the University of Baltimore School of Law and was admitted to the Maryland Bar that same year. He is highly skilled in the representation of legal and regulatory matters affecting the health care community. Mr. Dorrill is actively involved in the pro bono representation of clients for Maryland Volunteer Legal Services.
