Jason Collender, Licensed and Certified Clinical Social Worker, has more than 25 years of experience in the field of behavioral and emotional health working with children, adolescents, and adults. Jason completed his BA in psychology at Loyola University Maryland and his MSW at University of Maryland Baltimore. As a licensed and certified clinician, he has provided psychotherapy, psychoeducation, training, and consultation to countless individuals, groups, and families.
Jason has held a variety of clinical and management positions in hospital, residential treatment, educational, and managed care organizations. He also has years of experience in private practice. With more than 10 years of administrative experience, Jason has effectively led human service programs to improved efficiency, better treatment outcomes, increased staff development, healthy hiring, and employee retention. He has proven experience leading teams toward organizational change and effectiveness. One of Jason’s biggest passions in his work is providing training and consultation to programs, students, employees, and families around the topics of trauma and trauma-informed care practices.
When not working in human services, Jason works as a very part-time musician and weekend carpenter.
