Kara Silber, MSW, LCSW-C is a licensed clinical social worker and has been practicing in her work with children and families since 1999. Ms. Silber has worked for Department of Social Services Child Protective Services and a hospital-based domestic violence program. She has provided consultation with local hospitals for child psychiatric emergencies as well as consultation with the Department of Juvenile Services for incarcerated youth.
Kara Silber has practiced social work in the Baltimore City Public School System for the last 12 years. Ms. Silber works clinically with children ages 4-15 in her practice setting with individuals, groups, and collaborates with the local school community.
She provides consultation to teachers and school administrators on working with students and their families. She has developed school based grants to sustain a school food pantry and uniform closet. Areas of specialty include bullying prevention, suicide prevention, and behavior management.
